This is my method for making very cheap alcoholic wine cooler style drinks using herbal tea bags. It typically takes me 15-20 minutes to prepare and can be left to clear on the yeast; syphon out bottle or enjoy. My method of 1Kg sugar / 4.5l water (with 20 herbal teabags & 2 regular tea bags/vol, 5ml citric acid, 5ml diammonium phosphate/DAP/yeast nutrient) makes about 10-11%ABV in good temperature conditions in 6-8 weeks at a cost of about £1.70 for 8 pints.
