SINE Live Sessions: Interview #2 - Harmonicus (Peter Hobbs)

Learn more about the Sine Live Session performance by Harmonicus aka Peter Hobbs. We had the opportunity to put Peter behind the bar at Il bruto in Auckland and ask some intimate questions about his journey into electronic music.

During this interview we have a deeper look at why Peter Hobbs loves composing and creating music on his modular synthesizer. He has spent 10 years developing an instrument that immediately turn his thinking, inspiration and intuition into sound.

It’s been a long, exploratory project but rewarding Hobbs says. He explains more about his live performance and why he enjoys performing live with his modular synthesizer.

Hobbs has composed soundtracks for a number of New Zealand films, including Jean, for which he won a Gold for Best Original Music at New York Festivals Awards and Best Original Score at the 2017 NZ Television Awards.
