Flair bartending was around before then, popularized by the TGIFridays restaurant & bar chain, but the movie Cocktail really sparked a worldwide revolution for bartenders who wanted to serve drinks with style.

The movie Cocktail really inspired Scott Young to build a bar in his backyard and start practicing flair moves based on the movie and then go beyond.

In 1994 Scott Young started his company Extreme Bartending By Bar Smart.
Over the years he and his team travelled the world teaching, performing and interviewing successful people in the industry.

In 1998 - 2003 many training videos were released and sold around the world.
