Updated from the CDC Mar 25 at 5:27 PM local Louisiana is at 65 confirmed deaths and almost 1800 cases. Louisiana's population is roughly 1.3 percent of the USA population and we have 2.7 percent of the cases. We are on a statewide lockdown. Essential personal are the only people able to work right now. All restaurant's have converted to "to-go" models. Casinos and bars have shut down. This is unheard of in these parts. Category 5 hurricanes do not make them shut their doors. Our community is implementing "drive-thru testing sites" for high risk medical patients. Hopefully in the upcoming days we begin to take the situation more seriously as death toll climbs.
