Sharan Forest | Manshi Top: Best hiking place in Naran Kaghan Valley

In our last vlog, we embarked on a thrilling adventure to Siri Paye meadows and Makra Peak in Shogran. The trek to Makra Peak was quite the challenge, and we spent a memorable night in Shogran. This time, we're taking you on another exciting hike!

1. *Morning at Shogran:* We woke up early, settled our hotel bill of 12K for one night, and prepared for our next adventure. If you missed our "Islamabad to Shogran" vlog, make sure to check it out for more details.

2. *Traveling to Paras:* We traveled in a Honda HRV 2023 and Suzuki Cultus 2021, reaching Paras from Shogran in just 45 minutes. From Paras, we hired a jeep for 7K (usually 8K-10K) to take us to Sharan Forest.

3. *Breakfast and Jeep Ride:* We had breakfast near the jeep starting point, parked our cars, and began our bumpy 1.5-hour jeep ride to Sharan Forest. Along the way, we discussed the ongoing Suki Kinari Hydropower Project, a significant part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, set to generate 884 MW of electricity by November 2024.

4. *Arrival at Sharan Forest:* After reaching Sharan Forest, we took a half-hour rest, captured drone shots, and hired a guide for 2K to help us reach Manshi Top. The hike to Manshi Top was breathtaking, filled with beautiful scenery and the soothing sounds of birds in the dense forest.

5. *Hiking to Manshi Top:* The trek to Manshi Top, a peak in Kaghan Valley, is moderately challenging and takes about 2-3 hours from Sharan Camping Pods. The elevation of Manshi 1 is 8300 feet, offering stunning views of Kaghan Valley and the Kunhar River.

6. *Experiencing Manshi Top:* At Manshi Top, we enjoyed the serene environment, took drone shots, and savored pakoras and tea. The weather was perfect, with fog occasionally covering the peak, adding to the magical experience.

7. *Return Journey:* We chose a different path on our way back to explore more of the area. The trek back took about 40 minutes, passing through Jabra, offering another perspective of the beautiful landscape.

*Accommodation:* KPK Camping Pods in Sharan Forest, a prime location for exploring the area. Booking is essential, especially on weekends
*Food:* Limited food options in the forest, so be prepared for basic meals.

Bring raincoats and waterproof hiking shoes as weather can be unpredictable.
