KING GEORGE HOTEL, ATHENS

We were lucky enough to spend one night at the luxurious King George Hotel in Athens, Greece. We booked two rooms: Deluxe Guest Room (Acropolis View), and Deluxe Suite (Acropolis View). Rollaway beds are complimentary for guests under 12. The beds were comfortable and the showers were good. We received fresh fruits and baklava delivered to our room after checking in. We took bus X95 to and from the airport. The hotel front desk advised us not to take the train back to the airport (due to pickpocketing). The bus was convenient and affordable. You can catch the bus on the other side of Syntagma square (which is outside the hotel). The road was bumpy at times. It was a short 20 minute walk to reach the Acropolis. The Acropolis was lovely to visit and there were many interesting things to read while there. The breakfast buffet at Tudor Hall was nice (and it was included with the package we booked), but we probably wouldn't pay out of pocket to eat there again. The dinner on the other hand, was a little too fancy for us. The food was good, but the portions were way too small. We only ate there because we had a dining credit, but we would not eat there again. Overall, it was nice to experience this luxury hotel for one night in Athens!
