Описание к видео Homestyle Jia Jiang Mien (Chinese Fried Meat Sauce Noodle)

A Chinese comfort food noodle dish but no one makes this at home. Now you can. This is my favorite and easy Jia Jiang Mien recipe for home. It requires a few items that should be easy to find at your local Asian grocer and especially online.

Ingredients:
400g Ground Pork (30% fat)
400g Noodles (any noodles work for this dish)
3/4 Cup Tien Mien Jiang (https://amzn.to/4cHya4W)
1½ Cup Water
2 Tbsp Soy Bean Sauce (https://amzn.to/4cCwUQx)
2 Tbsp Shioshing Cooking Wine (https://amzn.to/3zGMkVa)
2 Tsp Chicken Seasoning Powder
2-inch Piece of Fresh Ginger (roughly size of your thumb)
1 Medium Cucumber
1 Medium Carrot
1 Medium Yellow Onion
2 Cups Bean Sprout
5 Stalks of Spring Onion

Recipe:

Julienne carrots and cucumbers, when finished keep inside refrigerator to keep cold and crisp.

Split spring onions in half. Chop the bottom half and reserve for flavoring oil. Chop the top half and reserve as garnish and extra flavor.

Mince the ginger and dice the onion.

To make the sauce combine tien mien jiang and water. Mix thoroughly and then add soybean paste and mix well.

Heat pan on medium-low and when the pan gets hot add 3 tablespoons of oil. Quickly stir in minced ginger and bottom half of spring onions. Stir and cook for a minute to prevent burning.

Add ground pork and sear one side for a few minutes until brown. Then flip to the other side and repeat.

Add the sauce then shioshing wine and chicken seasoning. Cook and stir for about a minute.

Then add diced onions, mix, stir, and cook for 4-5 minutes on low heat.
The sauce should be at a gentle simmer. Taste the sauce and add sugar if the sauce is a little bitter. It can happen depending on brand of tian mien jiang you're using.

Meanwhile, blanch the bean sprouts. And cook noodles following package instructions.

Plate the noodles. Add about half a cup of sauce on top. Then add as many vegetables as you want.
