On January 26, 2014, the indie San Francisco Bay Area band Pacific Mambo Orchestra won the Grammy award for Best Tropical Latin Album, beating Marc Anthony, Carlos Vives, Los Angeles Azules & Sergio George!!!! ¡Que viva la música independiente!
