How to register for PAYE as a Limited Company

Today I'll go through How to register for PAYE as a Limited Company. We'll look at the entire online PAYE registration process and walk you through each section.

When you are looking to employ staff or pay yourself a salary, HMRC will require your company to register as an employer and start submitting PAYE (Pay As You Earn) details through RTI (Real Time Information) submissions each month.

The limited company PAYE registration process itself is not overly complicated. It will take about 3 weeks for HMRC to issue your company's PAYE details by post. This will include a PAYE Reference number and an Accounts Office Reference number.

NOTE: If you do not receive the company PAYE details within 3 weeks of registration, you can contact HMRC's PAYE for Employers helpline to request the information.
