Open Artificial Pancreas System | Dana Lewis | TEDxFHKufstein

Описание к видео Open Artificial Pancreas System | Dana Lewis | TEDxFHKufstein

Dana Lewis’ project OpenAPS came to be from a series of serendipitous events and through the discovery of the power of collaboration using open source tools and methods. The Open Artificial Pancreas System project (#OpenAPS) is an open and transparent effort to make safe and effective basic Artificial Pancreas System (APS) technology widely available to more quickly improve and save as many lives as possible and reduce the burden of Type 1 diabetes. Dana’s mindset makes us change our perception of healthcare and how anyone can help improve it. Dana wants to challenge each and everyone of our TEDx participants to not wait to make a difference in the world – “because we can’t afford to wait”. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
