Edward Bear - Dusting Off Mythology Songs (1971)

Awesome trio of exclusive tracks by Toronto Rock stars Edward Bear. Enjoy!

I wish I were posting these tracks under brighter circumstances, but unfortunately, Edward Bear keyboardist Paul Weldon passed away on January 2nd. Rest in peace to a legend.

These songs were recorded for the 1971 television series Dusting Off Mythology. Alongside Perth County Conspiracy, Pepper & Salt, [Sugar] Shoppe and Dinah Christie, the songs of Edward Bear are featured prominently throughout the series. A subsequent vinyl compilation was released in 1971 (also reissued in 1973).

As listed on the back cover, "Dusting Off Mythology" was the brainchild of The Ontario Educational Communications Authority. The back cover states: "This series aimed at students of English at the intermediate level explores some ancient Greek myths and draws relevant parallels between those stories and situations found in contemporary society."
