These included doing away of double taxation for limited partners (LPs) and no taxation in case an LP sells stake in an India fund to another LP. Will this boost the alternative investments market in India?
A panel of investment professionals and analysts at the News Corp VCCircle Limited Partners Summit 2017, held in Mumbai earlier this month, tried to decipher what the budget meant for those eyeing India as an investment destination. They also discussed how it places India in comparison with other Asian countries such as China and Japan.
