Paired Donation Program
Our paired donation program in transplant center is a very important chance for our patients who cannot have a direct kidney transplant. It accounts for a quarter of all transplants we do. If we have two couples who are not eligible to donate kidneys, we match them and ensure that they have a safe, successful and good kidney transplant. This program can also be a solution for blood type incompatible donation.

Prof Baris Akin Chaired International Transplant Network Courses and Meetings since 2017. Currently, he is the Vice-Chair at European kidney Transplant Association(EKITA Board) of the European Society of Transplantation(ESOT) and Turkish delegate for transplant surgery at the European Union of Medical Specialists(UEMS)

He is the General Surgery Professor and director of kidney and Pancreas Transplantation Program at Demiroglu Bilim University Florence Nightingale Hospital in Istanbul. He is also the director of a referral center for the Vascular access for hemodialysis program at Istanbul Florence Nightingale Hospital.
