3D Animation: Benelli M4/M1014 Semi-Automatic Shotgun

The Benelli M4 is a 12-Gauge semi-automatic shotgun produced by Italian firearms manufacturer Benelli, which is owned by Italian firearm company Beretta. It is part of the "Benelli Super 90" series of semi-automatic shotguns.

The Benelli M4 uses a proprietary action design called the "auto-regulating gas-operated" (ARGO) system, which was created specifically for the weapon. The short-stroke design uses two self-cleaning stainless steel pistons located ahead of the chamber to function opposite a rotating bolt.

The Benelli M4 was designed in 1998, and was adopted among others by the armed forces of Italy, the United States (as M1014), the United Kingdom (as L128A1), Australia and the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).
