Venture Talk with Sujeev Shakya is a talk show program where he shares his knowledge, insights, and experiences of running, advising and leading diverse businesses from across the industries in the country and beyond for more than 25 years.

In this edition of Venture Talk with Sujeev Shakya - a rare speaker to be invited to the Humber Humphrey Programs regularly, as he speaks extensively on the future potential of business, development, and management in Nepal. Mr. Shakya has been invited to speak at Harvard, Wellesley College, Oxford University, AIT (Thailand), Jindal School of Government and Public Policy, and his alma mater — Boston University amongst others. He also travels extensively to speak to diverse audiences and is called upon to moderate sessions at conferences, workshops, and sessions at literary festivals.

Sujeev Shakya is the Founder CEO of Beed Management, an international management consulting and financial advisory firm that works in Bhutan, Cambodia, Nepal, Rwanda, and the United States. Mr. Shakya leverages over 25 years of experience in diverse fields and geographies to advise, lead and inspire. With comprehensive networks in Nepal’s public, private, civil and diplomatic sectors, Mr. Shakya is a trusted business and policy advisor and respected strategic thinker. Mr. Shakya serves as Chair of Nepal Economic Forum, Nepal’s premier private sector-led think tank, and as Senior Advisor to Bower Group Asia, a Washington DC-based advisory firm.

Prior to starting Beed, he was Group President of one of Nepal’s largest business conglomerate where he spent nearly two decades of his career. He is the author of the bestseller Unleashing Nepal – Past, Present, and Future of the Economy (Penguin Revised 2013) and Arthat Arthatantra (It’s the Economy – Nepalaya Publications May 2018). He is currently a columnist with The Kathmandu Post, Nepal’s leading English daily and Kantipur, Nepal’s leading Nepali daily. He also Chairs the Nepal Economic Forum that acts as a private sector interface to development. He was awarded the Humbert H Humphrey Fellowship by the US Department of State.
