▪️ For 4 wheelers :- Rs. 10000 per KWh with a cap of 20% of cost of vehicle.

▪️ For 2 wheelers :- Rs. 15000 per KWh with a cap of 40% of cost of vehicle.

Apart from central government, state governments are providing additional subsidies to EV buyers to accelerate the purchase of electric vehicles.

If purchased on loan, individuals can also claim a tax deduction up to ₹ 1,50,000 on interest paid on the loan to purchase EV under Section 80 EEB of the IT, Act.

Road tax and discounts on registration fees are among other subsidies offered by the government.

With the hiking fuel prices, EV will prove to be a more cost effective option.
