“Hey G45ers – I LOVED my Brand Ambassador challenge this month – it was perfection in a project for me - #G45Feature – basically take as much of one collection as I can find and make one big, delicious project – honestly tell me what is heaven other than this?

I chose Warm Wishes for my collection and I do hope you think I have done it justice – my project is called The Twelve Days of Christmas and I have made twelve little folios, all different, and with the help of my wonderful husband Mark – a light up box to keep them all in!

I started off by making twelve folio bases – I’ve written a really comprehensive cutting guide so please do refer to it as you go – it will make construction very easy! Each folio is exactly big enough to put regular 6 x 4 inch photos in as well as a range of smaller sizes. The folio itself including the spine measures 5 x 6 ½ inches.

Each folio has a different inside and offers a range of techniques. For example we have simple pockets, vertical and horizontal, stacked pockets, belly bands and lots of flips and flaps! You don’t have to make them all different, pick six designs you really like and make those a couple of times each for example.

My favourite is this simple folio with the ivory papers. I’ve decorated the front with a G45 tag, some gold leaf and some fussy cut flowers from the collection.

The box is a little more complicated but easy to put together, especially if you use construction tape. I recommend cutting each piece out first and writing on the chipboard the dimensions and what the piece is for before you start to put it together. Basically we are making three parts, the base, the lid and a tray that sits inside the lid that we can fill with all our favourite things from G45 roses to little knick knacks depending on which collection we choose for our project.

You can add in battery powered LED lights too as they are cold and will never burn the paper.

Have lots of fun decorating – I used the patterned paper, patterns and solids, journaling cards and the die cut ephemera. There is no part of this collection that isn’t just beautiful to use!
