KAYAKING with kids through Limestone Caves and Lagoons!

When I read the description for this tour I had NO idea about the beauty and serene landscape it would be. The limestones and kayaking through them was absolutely beautiful. This was one of those places that photos or video just won't do it justice.

We hopped in our kayaks and explored the winding channels of the mangrove forest. We stopped at one of the caves where you could get out and walk around. (This one you can only get to by water) We got to see and learn a little about the stalagmites and stalactites that lined the inner walls as well as see ancient cave paintings.

During our trip we also stopped and saw the rubber trees and how it was harvested! Currently, rubber is harvested mainly in the form of the latex. The latex is a sticky, milky and white colloid drawn off by making incisions in the bark and collecting the fluid in vessels in a process called "tapping".
