The Castle is a defensive structure and military building in Age of Empires II that becomes available once the Castle Age is reached. It is an important building in later stages of the game, through being a powerful fortification and by providing access to unique technologies, unique units, and Trebuchets.

Castles also support 20 population and cannot be converted.

Range: Crenellations (+3, Teutons only)
Additional projectiles: Crenellations (Garrisoned infantry fire arrows, Teutons only)

Cost: 650 Stone

The Hand Cannoneer is a gunpowder unit in Age of Empires II that can be trained at the Archery Range once the Imperial Age is reached and Chemistry is researched. It has a powerful attack, but low hit points and low accuracy at range.

Teutons: Hand Cannoneers are more resistant to conversion.

Cost: 45 Food, 50 Gold

In the total resources series, we consider 100 Food = 100 Wood = 100 Gold. In the equal resources series, we consider 100 Food = 100 Wood = 17 Gold.
