Pakistan has lodged a protest with the Asian Cricket Council after Indian cricket players did not shake hands with their opponents following an Asia Cup match. The Indian captain, Surya Kumar Yadav, who led the team to victory, chose to forgo the post-match custom. Speaking after the game, Yadav dedicated the win to the victims of the Pahalgam terror attacks and the armed forces. He said, "We stand by with the victims of the families of Pehelgam terror attack and we express our solidarity... we want to dedicate today's win to all our armed forces who showed a lot of bravery." The gesture is being seen as a message of solidarity from the Indian team. The complaint by Pakistan comes after a match where the Indian team dominated in all departments.
