With so many high definition CCTV resolutions out there now its difficult to decide which is best for your needs.
On the one hand you don't want to spend too much money unnecessarily on the most expensive equipment when something cheaper will do just as well, but neither do you want to end up with a low resolution useless cctv system that fails to meet your needs.

This video shows side-by-side comparison recordings, all made at the same time and shown in split screen for direct comparison.

The 3 cameras used were all IP Dome cameras with adjustable lenses

2 Megapixel - X2C2000VV
5 Megapixel -X2C50000VM
8 Megapixel - X2C8000VM

The recorder was an X2R4N-2

The cameras were all set to the same frame rate, bitrate and camera settings were duplicated to give a fair comparison.
