Pastorale - My Joy and Crown (Howard J Evans) - performed by Steven Mead and Howard J. Evans

I made this video on Saturday 21st November, and I've been meaning to do it for the last months, but as this was a tribute to my wonderful father, I wasn't sure how to make it. I knew it had to be 'from the heart', and express all the love from myself and all members of my family towards Rex Mead. My father is a hugely popular man, a kind Christian gentleman who loves his family dearly, who sadly was diagnosed with Alzheimer's just over three years ago and for the last two years has resided at the Castle Dean Care Home in Bournemouth.
This video essentially is a performance of a work that Howard J Evans wrote for me to record with the Brighouse and Rastrick Brass Band In June 2019, and it can be heard on my UFO CD. With Dad's 90th birthday in October 2020 I thought it would be really fitting to record this new arrangement, with piano accompaniment, that Howard has just made. About a third of the way through the work the focus turns to the beautiful photographs of my dad and our family, and is a chronology of his wonderful life.
