Tips and Tricks for Managing Projects in ConnectWise PSA/Manage

Описание к видео Tips and Tricks for Managing Projects in ConnectWise PSA/Manage

Brendan Bastine, a process consultant for Gozynta's Eureka Process, demonstrates efficient project management using ConnectWise PSA. He begins by creating a project template for employee onboarding by detailing each phase, tasks to complete each phase, and the budget hours set. He continues setting up the project by highlighting the importance of setting milestones within the template to ensuring clear goals and timelines are met once applied.

With the template ready, he applies it to a project, setting a two-week completion timeframe. He schedules each task, leaving them unassigned for future allocation. For scheduling, Brendan uses the Project Dispatch board, demonstrating how to assign tasks and adjust timelines. He concludes by showing the Gantt chart, illustrating a 13-day project span with tasks correctly ordered and non-overlapping. Brendan emphasizes Eureka Process’s expertise in helping MSPs streamline processes and invites viewers to reach out for support.

Hello Everyone. My name is Brendan Bastine and I'm a process consultant for Gozynta's Eureka Process. Today I'm going to show you how I manage projects in ConnectWise PSA. First, I created a project template for employee onboarding. This is a basic template. I've created my work plan and I've already scoped out the time that it's going to take to complete each one of these.

I put the critical path and each phase so that we can achieve the goal and set the phases milestones. You can set each phase as a milestone by simply clicking the phase and checking off the mark as milestone button. Here you can also indicate whether you want this phase billed separately, or indicate whether to some phase of another phase that you've already created.

And each of these tickets, you're going to notice, first and foremost, we're scoping and scheduling the project. I'm going to schedule a kickoff meeting with the client. And under the project management review. This ticket is so that I can follow up on the status of the project. Now that I have the project template created, I can go to my project board and I already have a project here for a while.

Legal that has a template already applied. I've set the type so that it's searchable within the project board. I have my estimated start date as today and this needs to be completed in two weeks. So in my work plan, all of my budget hours came over and under each one of these tickets, I've scheduled resources. Currently, they're unassigned so that I can assign them out later.

As to who needs to follow up on what date. For the project management review. I'm going to be following up weekly on the status of this project.

When it comes time to schedule this out, we're going to use the Project Dispatch board to do the scheduling.

When it comes time to schedule this out, we're going to use the Project Dispatch board to do the scheduling.

Project dispatch portal. And I'm going to view the project dispatch board. Here you're going to see a list of projects at the bottom can go to the employee onboarding. And on 611 I have to scope the project. So if I move it to the 11 because I've scheduled it for nobody to do, I can bring this over and schedule it for resource, update the project role if needed.

And that should take effect under the scope project.

And it's now been assigned to Alfonso.

Now I'm going to go over to my Gantt. I can see that the whole project management is going to take 13 days.

My end project is the project completion meeting with the client. And you can see each of these has been scheduled out so that they're not overlapping and they're in the correct order.

I need to move task. I can simply grab the box, adjust the schedule.

And it will move the

the task to a new date for me.

I hope this helps.
