Best Dive of the Year & My Life! (Catch & Cook/Throw back)

My 2024 goal was to not visit the same spot twice, with some exceptions. After a 4 year hiatus, I figured it was about time to go back to Neck point Park in Nanaimo, BC. It did not disappoint! Sea Lions, River otters, Seals, Grunt Sculpin, schools of Perch... You name it! My goal was to intercept Herring before they spawn, and although I failed that mission, the dive was a victory.

I also revisited a previous dive from 2020 at Otter Point Park in Sooke, BC. It was probably my most memorable dive to date. Herring galore, nothing short of magical. Hope you enjoy!
