Start picking up and rounding up stray dogs from all areas of Delhi. Stray dogs from Ghaziabad, Noida, Faridabad, Gurugram as well as other outskirts of NCR area should be taken to designated shelters.

2. The concerned authorities of Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram and Faridabad of the National Capital Region have been instructed to immediately construct dog shelters. The local administration of these areas will submit the report of such construction work to the court. Apart from this, a detailed report on the status of infrastructure in the entire NCR should be submitted to the court within 8 weeks.

3. Under no circumstances will these stray and abandoned dogs be left on the streets after their relocation. Appropriate records in this regard should be maintained regularly by the concerned authorities.

4. Stray dogs should be caught and sterilized. They should be dewormed and made virus resistant. They should be immunized with vaccines. Adequate staff should be arranged for this. As per the instructions issued under the Animal Birth Control Act 2023, dogs will not be released back.
