Fade To Black / My First Double Black at Whistler with The Singletrack Sampler // Mr Tonka

Lots of firsts for this trip... First time on a DH bike, first time at Whistler, first Double Black Diamond with Alex. Such a good time!!

I knew i could do this trail, but my brain had get whipped into progressing shape. Having Alex along to help coach me though this was the perfect scenario. To add literal injury to the insult of my brain lagging behind my skills, i was riding just one week after having a grade 2 AC joint separation. While the shoulder didn't feel good, it felt stable enough to ride, but likely not stable enough to crash on. So to say the least, i was riding more timid than i should have been. I'll have my work cut out for me on the next Whistler trip! Hope you enjoy the progression session, thanks for watching!
