I want to thank Sam Carrico News On 6 and Ryan Gillin News On 6 for coming out and speaking with me and sharing what our community is doing at Turkey Mountain - Tulsa! After the two attacks in the past several weeks, I knew there was something I wanted to do...bring our community together. Arrests have now been made on suspects but during the past couple weeks so many have come out over the past few weeks, making a big presence. Volunteering, donating and keeping an eye out for each other. A buddy system was created for those who want it. People love this area and we don't want bad things to rob the joy this place brings to many through hiking, running and biking on the many miles of trails here. This event was a big celebration, big gathering of people celebrating what has already begun and raising money for even better security measures through items generously donated for raffle tickets and tshirt sales. Everyone hit the trails for an hour then came back to enjoy a free hamburger and hotdog cookout with music provided by my buddy Steve Taylor. It was a great night together. Good things ahead...thankful!👊🙏
