The Government College of Technology, Rasul (GCT Rasul) is college which offers technical education diploma of 3 years. It is located in Mandi Bahauddin District, Punjab Pakistan. It was founded by British Government in 1873 to train individuals in the field of surveying. Over the years the location and field of study expanded. The present Government College of Technology campus was established in Rasul in 1912 to better meet the growing population of engineering studies from the School of Engineering in Lahore. In 1962 the school fell under the leadership of West Pakistan. Initially the programs were for certification and later became a three year diploma program. October 10, 1974 the school became the Government College of Technology, under the Educational Policy of 1972, and in January 1975 the school was officially declared an Engineering College. In 1998 the Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) of the Government of Punjab, Pakistan began oversight of the college.
