Reclamation's May history symposium will feature the history of the crown jewel of the Pacific Northwest, Grand Coulee Dam. This one-hour presentation will feature three presenters. First, Grand Coulee Training Technician Ivan Snavely will discuss how the project came to be and the daily life during construction. Second, Grand Coulee Historian George Jaramillo will explore the history of the dam's terrazzo, including its design, installation, and contemporary engagement. Tribal Historic Preservation Officer and History/Archaeology Program Manager for the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation Guy Moura will share the Tribal's perspective on the dam's history.
