yes the sound really does come from the waves!

how this was made: # damn I just kept typing and typing and now this is a wall of text exactly 3,000 characters long!
so my program takes in frames and processes them one by one and how it processes them is takes each column of pixels (the pixels going vertically) and starts from the top and scans the pixels down until it hits a black (or white for the R channel) and saves that and does the same for the bottom up, so now we know where the top and bottom of the image is, there is a little more like the tolerance for hitting a black pixel is changed with a pattern called a bit reversed pattern (basically counting up in binary but from the left side so the more significant bit and least are swapped) I take that pattern and it's used for the detection of if it hit something: (if number in pattern Is greater then pixel it's checking) that makes a dithered pattern for grey values, it then takes those values we saved from before and checks the next sample from the sound input (the bad apple music) since the waveform goes from positive to negative and if it is positive we take the positive value from image (the top of the image) and multiply it since the waveform resolution is way higher then the image and if it is negative we use the bottom of the image and add that value to the output wave file repeat this whole thing for the entire frame and then repeat THAT for all the frames in the video

oh and there's more!
I also needed to take into account the waveform video and the audio inside it syncing up.
in order to do that I would have to match up 1 second of video to 1 second of audio which was done by dividing the sampleRate by the Framerate (FPS / SampleRate)
that gives you the width the frames need to be in order to sync up because you are dividing eh? also if you look at how im shoving the audio into the waveform it is kinda the same as playing that sound at max volume and when I mean MAX I mean turning it up so high that all the values are nothing but max positive max negative clipping all the time!
so before I put the audio in I took a single channel of audio and ran it though another program I made which dithered the audio file with error definition dithering (basically taking the error from the previous frame and adding that to the next)
and it works really well and if you don't believe what you are hearing is coming from that waveform then try it out yourself

im also working on some subtitle effects so that it's like some kind of stereo display that says "now playing" or whatever and then puts some black and white computer generated effects on it, right now I don't have any of that besides the scrolling text
