Sideboard transformation

This huge (and very heavy!) sideboard was on its way to the tip when I intercepted it, and has been hanging around in my garage while I worked out how I was going to attempt all the repairs. Check out how the upcycle process went and tell me what you think of the transformed piece! The look was inspired by the cold and dark, but sometimes beautifully clear winter nights.

Holly's Design was born out of a love for beautiful interiors and beautiful furniture. Having worked in interior design for several years, I saw the value in traditional, well made furniture that is built to last, over our increasingly throw away culture.

When my partner and I bought our first house it was empty! Without the budget or the inclination for a massive shopping spree, I started updating old pieces that were kindly gifted to us, and finding pieces on their way to the tip that I could renovate. I loved upcycling them to suit our style, and I got so addicted I had to start selling my work to make room!
