Meet Chandra Bhooshan, a swing trader who began his trading journey in 2017 with zero knowledge, investing in penny stocks based on news and instincts.

Initially, he saw some profits, but with no understanding of fundamentals, market cap, or stop-loss, the losses soon followed. His journey took a wrong turn when he received a call from an advisory firm.

The advisor convinced him to share his demat credentials and started trading options on his behalf.

To add more capital for these trades, Chandra ended up selling his existing stock portfolio and even took loans. What began as blind trust led to manipulation, growing losses, and mounting debt, eventually taking loans worth ₹25 lakh while earning only ₹50–60k a month.

His first major loss was ₹75,000, which soon spiraled into a total loss of ₹9–10 lakh.

After hitting rock bottom and taking a break from trading, he returned with a fresh mindset. He stopped relying on tips, stayed away from F&O, and began learning through books and YouTube.

Slowly, he discovered the power of swing trading, combining sector analysis, fundamental strength, and technical breakouts. His edge came from identifying cup and handle patterns on 5-year charts, especially in stocks listed around 4–5 years ago.

With discipline and patience, Chandra gradually recovered his losses.

Today, he trades profitably and shares a clear message: “Be patient in swing trading, follow your strategy—and never take a loan for trading.”
