Sorting is an early mathematical skill, that encourages children to discriminate what objects are similar and difference, and the types of attributes can object can have.

A sorting activity doesn't have to be from a textbook, or with a specific game; incorporate sorting activities into every-day tasks - like organising the recycling, categorizing items you find in the backyard, or repurpose household items to learn with.
