This is the last part of series about different phases of Full Moon. Footage in this document was shoot during nights of June 8 and 9 couple of days after Full Moon on June 5 which is called Strawberry Full Moon in Canadian Harvest Calendar. During both days of shooting footage was made during and immediately after Moon rise when redness of Moon same as its shape distortion are most pronounced. Vibration of the surface of Moon are caused partially by vibration of atmosphere – an unfortunately by wind guts mainly on footage from first day.

Visibility of craters on the Moon edge are mainly pronounced on the second day. Craters are not visible too well during Full Moon since they need light from the side to see crater edges. Redness of Moon is always strongly saturated during and around Full Moon phase and particularly during first couple of minutes of Moon rise over the horizon. This is caused by spreading of the visible light spectrum in which red corner is bending more in Earth atmosphere and therefore we have red Sun sets and Sun rises and same goes for Moon.

So the same show will be visible in the beginning of next month – mainly during the Full Moon on July 4. In that day people in both Americas, Africa and Western part of Europe can witness Penumbral Moon Eclipse which is not so exciting as total Lunar Eclipse but interesting enough to witness. You should be ready for only part of the Moon surface will be eclipsed – that means brown – so it could be easily missed. However pay attention to this phenomena.

We have no Total Moon Eclipse this year. Last one visible in both Americas occurred on January 20/21 2019 and is documented in JVD Photography program about Moon Eclipse which you can find on my site. However we will have two Solar Eclipses this year – one Annular on June 21 in North Africa and South Asia and second Total on December 14 in South America over Chile and Argentina.(Documents about Great American Solar Eclipse on August 21 2017 from JVD Photography are available on this site as well).
