Apple iPad 1st Gen No Power Fix - disassembly & battery replacement

If you have one of the original 1st gen iPads that is completely dead, this video may help you out to bring it back to life! Quite often, if you have an old device that is completely unresponsive, even on a charging cable, chances are the battery is completely dead. In this video we're going to fix that (use the chapters if you want to jump to a specific section)!

There are two different models for 1st gen iPads - A1219 (WiFi-only) and A1337 (WiFi+3G). These would be very similar, but there are a few minor differences internally (screen clips placement etc). Here we're working with A1337 (WiFi+3G) model, but it will look mostly the same for A1219 model.

So we are going to disassemble the whole tablet, including detaching the screen, disconnecting a lot of things internally, removing all the boards and then the battery. We'll replace the battery, and then reassemble everything back. There is a separate video where we attempt (successfully!) to resuscitate the original battery, you can see this video here:
