Assuming you did not pick up the Timber Maniacs issue in Shumi Village, you will be able to junction Laguna, Kiros and Ward here. If you did pick up the magazine, you will only have Laguna and Kiros. There will be a scene where Laguna is trying to be a movie star. You will eventually be forced to fight fend off a Ruby Dragon (03:19). Watch for how quickly the Ruby Dragon recovers from an attack. If it recovers quickly, it is going to attack, so be sure to block (03:50 for example). If it recovers slowly, you can attack it (03:55 for example). Repeat this process until you fend it off.

Laguna will then run below and be given a choice to either attack the Ruby Dragon ("Here we go!!!") or step back for a second to prepare ("H-Hold on a sec...") (05:05). I recommend taking time to prepare as you will want to draw some very strong magic from this Ruby Dragon. You can roll the dice to see if you are a high enough level for the magic or you can take the 100% approach and equip Tonberry's Level Up and Level Down abilities on someone. I recommend doing this as you can control the magic used by the Ruby Dragon. Next, be sure to junction Flare or Firaga as your elemental defense magic and Meltdown on your VIT, giving yourself as much HP as possible, as this Ruby Dragon will hurt at high levels. When you are ready, return to the prior screen and run towards the dragon.

The main goal here is to draw Meteor from the Ruby Dragon. To do this, you will likely need to use the Tonberry ability, Level Up. However, by doing this, the Ruby Dragon will have access to 2 really powerful attacks: Meteor and Breath. Be ready to keep yourself healed with Curaga while you slowly draw out 100 Meteor for each character. This will be very helpful for you as Meteor offers huge stat boosts when junctioned. It should take you about 10 minutes or so to get 300 Meteors. Note, you can also Draw Flare from the Ruby Dragon if you didn't previously get 100 of them.

After the fight, there will be some additional scenes with Laguna and Edea.
