Описание к видео 1992 - 2002 GM OBS Trucks Vans 6.5L Diesel V8 Glow Plugs & Wiring Repair & Replacement (Chevy & GMC)

This video goes over approaches for removing, evaluating, repairing, testing and replacing GM 6.5L diesel engine glow plugs, and their wiring harness connectors. Glow plugs are a maintenance wear item for 6.5L diesel engines that require periodic attention, to insure good cold weather performance. Often neglected, the glow plug wiring harness connectors also should be inspected and tested. We cover all that, and more, in an epic level of detail.

The vehicle shown is a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban, old body style (OBS), with the 6.5L Turbo Diesel engine option. However, the glow plug procedures and steps shown are applicable to ALL 6.5L turbo and non-turbo diesel engines across Chevrolet, GMC, and Holden trucks and vans for all OBS model years in the video title. Some of this material is also applicable to the earlier 6.2L diesel engines as well.

Applicable to 94 95 96 97 98 99 and carry over model year 2000, 2001 and 2002 old body style (OBS) trucks and vans from Chevrolet, GMC , and Holden such as the Suburban Tahoe Yukon Silverado Cheyenne Sierra and Express.
