Tuvalu is a small island nation in the Pacific at an elevation of only 15 feet. With sea levels rising the livelihood of these islands and their people are becoming threatened. BYU-Hawaii SIFE (Students In Free Enterprise) students initially traveled there in 2011 to help. During their second visit to Tuvalu in 2012 they broke ground for the Olave Ockey Preschool, delivered laptop computers to and taught workshops at Motofoua secondary school, created a network for the distribution of handicrafts, and established valuable relationships with local leaders.
