Cumbia colombiana is a folk style of music from the Colombian Atlantic coast. There is a version that in translation from "African" this word means Dance. Cumbia is very popular because of its melody, it can be both very fun and fast, and lyrically calm.In the folk version, it is performed on Maracas, they are imitated by the hi-hat part, the Bombo drum, two or three drums, similar to the African Kpan, and their part is performed on the Snare and Toms drum. This video shows several versions of the performance, the version with the opening hi-hat is used in the choruses.
