Yet another Tokai TV Broadcasting compilation. As per usual if any of my translations are off, please correct me and I will amend - I'm not a native Japanese speaker, I'm still learning, so I can pretty much guarantee I'll have gotten something wrong. All the same, I'm giving it my best go to try and bring these amazing campaigns to a wider audience.

Japanese CM's (as their ad spots are known) are pretty much an art form, and I'm very fond of their stylistic differences between what you typically see here. The blood and gore element can certainly prove effective and memorable, but there's something about the muted and elegant style of these that makes them equally so.

These 7 spots are part of a series about road safety and shows the emotional aftermatch of accidents in a lot of them.

As far as scare factor goes, I don't really think it applies here, although they are poignant and memorable they don't create any kind of visceral horror. More mournfulness, and contemplation. A heavy kind of mood.

I think it's quite effective. Do you?
