Former Finance Minister Nhlanhla Nene has denied allegations that he used his influence as the former PIC Chairperson to get the Public Investment Corporation grant investment funding for his son's business venture.
Nene was responding before the State Capture Inquiry to allegations that he had influenced the PIC's decision to invest in a Mozambique oil refinery.
Nene says his son told him that he left the company soon after the funding application to the PIC.
Former Deputy Finance Minister Mcebisi Jonas is expected to testify next.
