I've been retracing my steps lately - revisiting past memories and therefore also music that I listened to earlier in life and that held some important meaning to me. This song came up. It's one of those 'classics' in my early years and it's such a staight forward and "right at you" emotional song. It just explains that emotional turn that certain people through our lives will bring up in us, and if not that, then I do believe that everyone of us can relate to wanting to change or do better for the ones around us, and of course for ourselves as well. Han Solo's character also holds important meaning to me, so I thought that why not combine the two. It fits him and his development - even though I'd usually avoid a song as straight forward like this when editing, I just felt like this was more of a nostalgia trip for me (and you, maybe?) than the most fresh or complex idea in terms of fanvids.

I do have to admit though, the result of this surprised me in such a positive way!! I'm very pleased with the outcome and it actually ended up making me really touched. I hope you find that Han's story and character came through right with this, because for me it really went to my gut at times. That might also be because how this connects to my own life right now, where I am at a crossroad in my life, learning new things about myself and preparing to take a leap towards something I really want to do in life in terms of work/education. I'm really trying to follow my heart and not my head so much at this point in my journey of personal development, which means leaving some comfortable ways behind - including those of trying to fit in more rather than following where my passion and true calling takes me. I have always chosen paths that haven't truly fulfilled me in education if I'm really honest, because I was more concerned with being safe than happy. And tbh, sometimes I am afraid of being truly happy or successful in what I do or who I am around, because I am so scared of disappointing someone, myself or losing what I then have gained.. that's some twisted thought for you! :) Maybe someone can relate? Thought I'd share, anways. I love writing you know.. so!

I'll finish off with saying that I dearly hope you'll enjoy this video! A straight on tribute to our loved Han with emotion and character development in focus! This was so not expected... but I kinda love that I did it either way. This was the kind of video I'd watch many many years ago before even editing myself, so it was a fun thing to do - a "classic" thing to do! I don't really think I've done a video with this much depth for Han alone either before? That's kind of crazy since I love him so much. I guess my H/L stuff has captured that same thing though, you could say, but either way - surprising, really.
