The development of a child starts with early skills such as head control. What is head control? It is when the child can lift up his head on its own. Children with developmental delay are often slow to develop it. In that case, we need to help them to develop reasonable head control before trying to help them with later developments e.g. to roll, sit, crawl, or walk.

বাংলাদেশে গুরুতর মাত্রার প্রতিবন্ধি শিশুদের ব্যবস্থাপনায় এই ভিডিওটি বিশেষভাবে সাহায্য করবে। শিশুর প্রারম্ভিক বিকাশ শুরু হয় তার নির্দিষ্ট কিছু দক্ষতার মাধ্যমে যেমন, মাথার নিয়ন্ত্রণ। এই মাথার নিয়ন্ত্রন বলতে কী বোঝায় ? এটি দ্বারা বোঝায় যে শিশু নিজে নিজেই তার মাথা তুলতে পারবে, বা যেভাবে খুশি ঘুরাতে পারবে। কিন্তু যেসকল শিশুদের বিকাশ দেরীতে হয়, তারা এটি করতে পারেনা। এক্ষেত্রে সবচাইতে আগে তাকে মাথার নিয়ন্ত্রণ শিখতে সাহায্য করতে হবে। পরবর্তীতে একে একে অন্যান্য দক্ষতা যেমন গড়াগড়ি দেয়া, বসা, হামাগুড়ি দেয়া বা হাটার ব্যপারে সাহায্য করতে হবে।
