Sure, they did the formal thing with their church ceremony a couple of months earlier at Saint Anselm's in Sudbury, MA, but their October celebration was all about sun, sea, and serious fun.

A Grand Arrival & A Laugh-Out-Loud Ceremony
Talk about making an entrance! Since Brent's a boat guy, he arrived at the ceremony by coming ashore on a dinghy to meet Bethany. How cool is that? It set the perfect relaxed, nautical tone for the day.

And the ceremony itself? A total blast! Their friend conducted the ceremony and, armed with incredible personal stories and impeccable delivery, had everyone laughing from start to finish. It was personal, sincere, and perfectly them—a wonderful way to officially kick off the celebration.

Lighthouse Views & Casual Cool
Before the party really kicked off, we took the couple and family to Ned's Point in Mattapoisett for photos. It's a photographer's dream—we used the craggy rocks, found amazing puddle reflections, and got a fantastic silhouette of the couple with the iconic lighthouse.

And here's a detail that captures their low-key vibe: they paused the action for a quick, celebratory beer at The Inn in Mattapoisett, a local restaurant bar, before heading back to the venue.

October Sun & Oyster Toasts
We were blessed with incredible, unseasonable summer weather in October, which made the seaside celebration even better.

The reception was full of heart, too! Everyone was surprised and delighted when Brent's grandmother made a special, unexpected entrance. It was one of those moments that brought everyone to tears!

As the sun began to drop, we snuck the newlyweds away for those magical golden hour shots. We got some beautiful photos during dusk and sunset on the beach and dock. And because you can't have a coastal party without the classics, we celebrated with an oyster toast right there by the water!

The rest of the evening? Pure party! With a great band and excellent music, the dance floor was packed all night long. Brent and Bethany’s day was a perfect blend of sincere love, genuine laughter, and amazing fun—a totally unstuffy New England dream.
