Incisions and Wound Care After A Total Knee Replacement

Wound and post surgical incisions after a total knee replacement will often take between 6 and 8 weeks to fully heal. If you have complications including diabetes, smoking, poor oxygenation then your incision may take longer to heal. In general keeping the incision covered and clean is the most important factor for quick healing.
