Ventura Marathon 2022

Join me on my first person view of the 8th edition (2022) of the Ventura Marathon. This race has been impacted greatly by cancellations and course changes as a result of Covid. Regardless of the hardships, I was very excited to see one of my favorite races return to 2022. I am friends with the race directors and I know that this event takes some major planning and several long days/nights making it all come together. The course this year consisted of 3 loops around the starting area in Ojai and finished just off the bike path in Ventura. With a net downhill, many runners including myself have been able to qualify for Boston at the Ventura Marathon. Join me for a 3:10 pace (7:15 min mile) view from Ojai to Ventura.
