Quick look at my budget luggage system on my Yamaha Nmax 155.
I rode 2.500 km with this setup.
I own the Q-Bag a couple of years, I rode about 9.000 km with it and the bag is still in good condition and 100% waterproof.

Bike performance:
The luggage doesn't bother the bike, it still steers fine. Better than my Honda Forza 125. When I rode with luggage on the Forza the steering bar had vibrations. It was like the front wheel wasn't solid on the ground anymore.
