Today was very smokey at Sequim Valley Airport, from the forrest fires in Washington, Oregon, and British Columbia. I planned to stay in the pattern to do a series of touch and goes.

The video makes it look more smokey than it really was.

You probably can't see them in the video, but I could faintly see the Olympic mountains about 5 miles to the south.

Also, there are two airports with ASOS, one a few miles to the west and one a few miles to the east, that were reporting MVFR with 5mi and 4mi visibility, so I knew the conditions at my location were very similar.

While flying, I had no trouble seeing the ground and the airport.
