"The City Abandoned" is an adaptation from Lamentations mourning the destruction of Jerusalem. It is also a prayer to God to see the pain of it all and act in delivering God's people. Every follower of Jesus aches with the Jewish people in exile, longing for the redemption of the City of the Great King, and subsequently, all the earth.
