First off, I'm not too confident in the accuracy of this cover haha. I'm pretty sure they used a 9-string on this song and I don't have one. I tuned down to D standard 8-string (DGCFADGC) tho, which caused some major tuning and intonation problems. I also didn't record bass because I couldn't figure out what to do (which sucks, since I think Dick wrote this one).

But yeah, the new Meshuggah album is amazing y'all should check it out.

This song's cool because the guitars play literally the same rhythm for the entire song. No truncation, no variation (for the most part). It's just a little 23/8 rhythm over 4/4 for like 5 minutes lol. Despite that, the song isn't boring by any means. It's crazy how each riff has it's own unique feel. It honestly took me a dozen listens or so to even notice it was the same rhythm repeated.

I didn't do the solo because it's long and I didn't really feel like it. Sorry lol.

What else is there to say?? uhhhh... this is my first video in the new place. that's pretty cool. i also think the mix sounds kinda trash lol. i don't think i'm very good at doing the metal stuff anymore, it might be time to move on from it.
